Around 2,56,000 Employees of India’s largest bank have decided to contribute 2 days' salary to the PM Cares Fund. SBI employees are donating Rs 100 Crore collectively.
"It is a matter of pride for State Bank of India that all our employees voluntarily came forward to pledge their two days’ salary to the PM CARES Fund. We at SBI would keep continuing our support to the government in all its endeavors to address the challenges of this pandemic, SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar said.
The bank has also decided to extend the moratorium for payment of installments/ EMIs in all term loans for a period of 3 months. This is applicable for EMIs/Installments due between 1st March 2020 to 31st May 2020.
On Monday, 227 new cases taking the total tally to 1,385. 101 have been cured. A total of 32 people lost their lives till March 30 morning, according to Health Ministry data.
